Thoughtful Legal Counsel for Retirement Matters
Sentosa Law exists to make pension protection accessible to every Malaysian — unhurriedly, respectfully, and without unnecessary complexity.

A Practice Built Around People, Not Cases
Sentosa Law was founded in Kuala Lumpur with a straightforward observation: pension matters are among the most consequential financial and legal questions a Malaysian family will face, yet far too many people arrive at retirement with only a partial understanding of what they are entitled to — or discover far too late that something has gone wrong.
The founding team brought together solicitors whose prior work spanned employment law, estate planning, and civil litigation. What they shared was a conviction that the legal profession could serve retirement clients better — with more patience, clearer communication, and a willingness to treat every individual's situation as genuinely different from the one before.
From a modest office in Bangsar, that original commitment has remained consistent: every client deserves to leave a meeting with a clearer picture than the one they arrived with.
Our Mission
To provide every client with a clear, considered account of their pension position — and, where entitlements have not been honoured, to pursue those matters with patience and rigour on their behalf.
Our Values
- Clarity — plain language, not legal shorthand
- Patience — decisions made in the client's own time
- Dignity — every situation treated with discretion
- Continuity — long-term relationships over one-off transactions

How We Work
Our Professional Standards
Bar Council Registration
Sentosa Law practises under the Advocates and Solicitors framework regulated by the Malaysian Bar. All solicitors hold valid Annual Practising Certificates.
Client Privilege & Confidentiality
All instructions are covered by solicitor-client privilege. We follow strict data handling protocols and comply with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Written Record of Advice
Every advisory session is followed by a written summary provided to the client. This is standard practice, not an add-on, ensuring you always have a record of what was discussed.
Regular Matter Updates
Clients with ongoing matters receive regular status updates. We do not wait to be asked. If something changes, we reach out first.
Transparent Fee Structure
Fees are discussed openly before any engagement commences. There are no unexpected charges. Our pricing is consistent with the Legal Profession (Practice and Etiquette) Rules.
Referral Where Appropriate
Where a matter falls outside our scope — for example, complex tax or property work — we direct clients to suitable practitioners rather than attempt to manage every element ourselves.
Our Expertise
Pension Legal Work Demands Its Own Kind of Attention
Retirement entitlements in Malaysia are shaped by several distinct frameworks: the Employees Provident Fund Act, the Pensions Act for civil servants, the Private Retirement Scheme guidelines issued under the Capital Markets and Services Act, and the terms of individual employer pension schemes. Each operates according to its own rules, timelines, and dispute resolution pathways.
Sentosa Law concentrates on these specific areas rather than spreading our attention across general legal practice. The result is a team familiar with the administrative procedures, documentation requirements, and regulatory contacts that pension matters require — familiarity that becomes particularly valuable when a case requires careful correspondence or formal representation.
We work with clients from across the employment spectrum: those approaching retirement who want to understand their options clearly, those already retired who have encountered difficulties with payments or calculations, and adult children helping elderly parents navigate arrangements that were never fully explained to them at the time.
The practice also serves families who want a single, consistent point of contact for pension matters that span multiple members — where coordinating nominations, withdrawal planning, and estate considerations is more sensibly handled together than in separate engagements with different advisers.
Located in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, we are accessible to clients across the Klang Valley and are able to accommodate clients from other parts of Malaysia through remote sessions where the matter permits.
